The Last Day Pass

The first skipass that protects glaciers

Client – Laax
Production – Neue Super

The Vorab glacier in the popular ski resort of Laax in Switzerland is melting due to global warming. According to calculations, it will be gone forever in 35 years.

Together with ETH Zurich, we calculated the last day of the glacier – 03.04.2056. Then we gave boarders the chance to postpone this day into the future – with the Last Day Pass. Each pass sold thus postpones the last day by 10 minutes, as the proceeds are used to offset a guaranteed 1000 kg of CO2 and plant trees around the glacier. Within one week we have compensated 306,000 kg CO2.

The campaign was awarded with silver at Eurobest.

Every ticket lets the glacier live longer.
